The Welsh 3000’s
A great opportunity to climb all 15 of the Welsh 3000’s over three days, which really allows you to enjoy the whole journey and take in all the spectacular views. We guide you throughout teaching you essential mountaineering techniques to help you become a more knowledgable mountaineer.
The Welsh 3000’s challenge is a fantastic opportunity for you to explore the spectacular Snowdonia mountain range. You will climb all 15 peaks higher than 3000 meters. Starting at the bottom of Snowdon we guide you all the way to Aber falls on the north Wales coast. We guide you throughout teaching you essential mountaineering techniques to help you become a more knowledgable mountaineer.
Every trip will be personally adapted to the group’s specific needs. Allowing your trip to have a unique and fresh approach. What to expect on the Welsh 3000’s challenge
The Welsh 3000’s challenge- Involves walking from the top of Snowdon over the three mountain ranges. The route takes you over Snowdon’s 3 peaks; Glyderau 5 peaks; and Carneddau’s 7 peaks. Finishing close to the North Wales coast on the final peak Foel Fras above the spectacular Aber Falls.
You will be lead by two excellent and very experienced mountain leaders, guiding you throughout your trip making every day interesting and enjoyable. Through their local knowledge and extensive experience leading in the mountains.
The views are truly stunning. 3 Days will give you time to fully experience a variety of terrain. From knife-edge ridges to rolling summits and the full grandeur of the complex landscape. With lots of opportunities to spot wildlife along the way, the route involves some rock scrambling.

Challenging with at least 1500 meters’ ascent and descent each day. Carrying all of your equipment for the whole expedition. Need to be fit able to climb mountains. Comfortable with the possibility of bad weather conditions.
You must be aged 18 or over to attend this expedition.
About the 15 Peaks
14 of the highest mountains in Wales that have a height of 3,000 feet (914.4 m) or more. Geographically they fall within three ranges, all sufficiently close to making it possible to reach all 15 summits within 24 hours, a journey known as the Welsh 3000s challenge.
The length of this challenge (from the first peak to last) is about 26 miles (42 km), but including the walk to and from any start point, this will total some 30 miles (48 km).

Arrivals and Departures
You will be expected to find your own means of travel to Bangor train station on the selected date at 8 am. There will be arranged transport for the rest of the journey, to and from the destination.
