Water bumper cars down the River Dee
Hands down one of our most popular activities, river tubing in Llangollen is exclusive to BMA. No lazy rivers here as we take you on a white water tubing adventure, tackling the exciting rapids and waves along the way.
Once on the water and after proving that you can float, we will head down the twisting and winding rapids. There are three major rapids on our route down the River Dee, including Serpent’s Tail, a tick-off for most aspiring white water enthusiasts. Our guides will be on hand to steer you through, set fun challenges along the way and make sure it’s smiles all round by the end of your adventure.
Powered by the river’s flow and steered by pure arm strength, be sure to bring those guns along for a river tubing experience you won’t forget!

Travel & Transport
Our river tubing trips start from the Bearded Men Adventures HUB, just 4 minutes drive from Llangollen, next to Wenffrwd Nature Reserve and Llandyn Caravan & Camping. We’ll meet you there. There’s loads of space to park.
Alternative transport can be arranged upon request.
Equipment
We supply everything you need for an epic white water river tubing adventure: wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids and of course, the tubes themselves.
Our equipment is well maintained and frequently safety checked. You are in great hands. You just need to bring suitable robust footwear, swimwear and a towel.
Be sure to bring the gun show along to a river tubing session with BMA. You will have to negotiate your way down the mighty River Dee which runs through the heart of Llangollen and paddle your tube to certain areas along the way.
If we say go, we mean go. But don’t worry you’ll be in safe hands.
