What to expect from Canoeing in North Wales, Llangollen.
We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a gasping breathe ordeal but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side. After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.
At the other end of our canoe portfolio is our river trip down the River Dee which starts at Glyndyfrdwy rail station and then coincidentally brings us under the Ponty Aqueduct. With rapids and waves to conquer on the way down, it makes for an adrenaline view of the river that you may have never seen before. We start with basic skills session at the beginning on a flatter part of the river, then we progress onto moving water skills so that you are in control the entire way down. This can be a full river trip all the way down to a small town called Chirk or we can pop In the canal and go into Llangollen for a spot of lunch. All of these like our other products are customisable and we try to accommodate any requests we can.
